The IT Department is committed to the vision of the General Council on Finance and Administration to support the servant ministry of all those working within the United Methodist Church to spread the Gospel of Christ.
Within this framework the department provides;
- leadership and ongoing technology support to all GCFA departments and staff as well as a number of remote locations.
- hosted Great Plains Accounting software and related support services to a number of other agencies who access the GCFA system remotely.
- connectivity support and related needs for the Human Resources hosted system.
- technical and support services as web host for a number of organizations supported by the GCFA.
- a developing web based system to enhance and facilitate the data gathering of church statistics, clergy appointments and charge alignment as directed by the Discipline.
- In-house software applications developed to maintain and share as appropriate relevant denominational data.
