UMI Ends 2014 on Positive Note

End of Year Wraps Up on Positive Note for United Methodist Insurance

Nashville, TN – United Methodist Insurance is reporting positive results and improvements for the year end 2014 and an outlook for continued significant growth in 2015.  Since its inception, United Methodist Insurance has come to be a preferred option for insurance and risk management for United Methodist churches and other organizations.

The company is owned by the General Council on Finance and Administration (GCFA) with a committed board and a CEO with proven insurance skills.  Insurance policies are issued directly to churches so they understand that they are insured by a UMC-owned company that understands the unique needs of United Methodist churches.  Sales have doubled each of the first two years since UMI began operations, and they are projected to increase by another 50% in 2015.  With the new reinsurance relationship with Swiss Re that was announced last month, UMI is now working with one of the most respected reinsurers in the world to provide the specialized coverage.

"UMI is extremely gratified to be chosen as the insurance company for so many United Methodist churches. We offer broad insurance coverage at very competitive rates, and provide service to our churches that is second to none, as demonstrated by the fact that over 98% of UMI insured churches choose to renew their insurance programs with UMI" says Charles Hamilton, President of UMI.
