ACADEMY OF CHURCH BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (ACBA)
SPECIAL COVID-19 UPDATE
Thank you for your interest in the Academy of Church Business Administration (ACBA).
Regrettably, we must announce the cancellation of the 2020 ACBA course. We are canceling 2020 taking into consideration the spread of COVID-19, concerns for attendee health, and the uncertainty around when gatherings of 10 or more will be acceptable. Registration fees and tuition will be refunded to all registered participants. If you have any questions, please reach out to Jodi Chadwell at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The course is an excellent program. Experts in their fields provide quality training. The 2021 ACBA will be held in June next year. We hope you will join us for this valuable training in church administration!
The Academy of Church Business Administration (ACBA), hosted by the General Council on Finance and Administration (GCFA), is held in Nashville, TN each year in June. The ACBA delivers the high-quality education and certification program that church business administrators have come to expect.
Through the ACBA, church administrators receive all the necessary in-classroom training to obtain their designation as a Certified Church Administrator (CCA) through The Church Network. United Methodist participants will also meet the requirements to obtain the additional designation as a Certified United Methodist Church Administrator (CUMCA).
As a United Methodist-affiliated program, the ACBA courses will be hosted by GCFA in their offices. Six of the general boards and agencies of The United Methodist Church are located in Nashville making resources and staff of the various organizations easily accessible.
Rev. Dr. Bob Winstead, Director of the ACBA, has an extensive history with The Church Network and serves on their Professional Training and Standards Committee. GCFA is excited that Dr. Winstead serves as Director of the program and teaches participants in their classes, but also guides and directs capstone projects for those seeking certification.
