Sharon Dean is the Chief Officer of Communications and Marketing at the General Council on Finance and Administration of The United Methodist Church. In this role, she oversees all official communication for the agency, as well as serves as the official spokesperson. Sharon leads a team who works on the branding of the agency and on marketing campaigns for all services and products offered by GCFA. Since joining GCFA in 2007, Sharon has been highly successful in communicating the agency’s vision of supporting ministries throughout the United Methodist connection.
Prior to her work at GCFA, Sharon was employed at a Nashville publishing company for more than three decades and served as a Manager of Marketing Support. There she was instrumental in the production of sales training material, communications, and meeting planning.
She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Middle Tennessee State University and a Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership from Trevecca Nazarene University.
