Financial Assessment

Each engagement begins with gaining a clear understanding of the Annual Conference’s financial operations, leadership priorities, staffing, technology, reporting practices and financial strengths and challenges. Through conversations with key personnel and a review of existing processes and financial reports, GCFA identifies organizational strengths, emerging risks, and opportunities for improvement.
The assessment may review the following:
-
Financial positions including income, spending and net assets
-
Financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
-
Staff responsibilities and workflow
-
Accounting systems and related technology
-
Budget development and monitoring
-
Cash flow and financial reporting
-
Payroll and expense-management practices
-
Audit preparation and follow-up
-
The timeliness and usefulness of information provided to conference leaders
