Caitlin Congdon has been elected to take over as the General Secretary of GCFA beginning April 1, 2026. As general secretary of GCFA, Caitlin Congdon serves as the chief executive of the agency. The Book of Discipline, ¶¶ 801-823, outlines the roles and responsibilities of GCFA and its areas of ministry to the Church. Prior to this role, Caitlin served as the Chief Officer of Human Resources and Professional Development at GCFA for almost 10 years.  Before that, she providing training throughout the United Methodist Connection in a position at United Methodist Communications.

When she is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, three children, four dogs and a pig. She is a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church and currently attends McKendree United Methodist Church in downtown Nashville.
