GCFA Board Holds Quarterly Meeting
Affirms Work of the General Commission on Archives and History
Nashville, Tennessee – The Board of Directors of the General Council on Finance and Administration (GCFA) held its scheduled quarterly meeting by Zoom on Friday, May 14.
The Board approved a grant request from the General Administration Contingency Fund to the General Commission on Archives and History (GCAH) for $240,000. GCAH’s plans for the grant include developing a new website and incorporating new technology to do its work in the “ministry of memory.” These enhancements will enable those seeking information from GCAH to have better, faster, and more efficient access to GCAH resources.
The Board received information about the COVID response by UMCOR and offered prayer for support of the UMCOR Advance to help acquire medical equipment and needed supplies for international aid. The following link was provided to the Board members and guests: https://umcmission.org/advance-project/3022612/.
The next scheduled meeting of the GCFA Board will be virtual and is scheduled for August 20.
